Homeopathy – Helpful For Many Health Concerns (2020)

Over the last 9 months, I have seen people for various health concerns. It is always a gamut of health concerns. The age range is from baby to older adult, more women than men come in.

To me these various health concerns show how helpful homeopathy is. Very often people come to homeopathy because they are not getting the help they need from western, allopathic medicine. There is a need for homeopathy.

The health concerns are:

  • coronavirus symptoms
  • shingles – two cases
  • eczema
  • digestive issues
  • broken and fractured bones
  • menstrual issues – heavy bleeding, exhausting, painful
  • help in healing after surgery
  • ongoing (chronic) urinary tract infections, very painful
  • dental work
  • depression
  • reaction to a vaccine
  • help when receiving vaccines needed for a new job

Homeopathy looks at the totality of the person, the holism of the person. It is not just the diagnosis or name of the syndrome, such as shingles or an urinary tract infection, but the totality of the person. Such as – what other symptoms is the person experiencing? In what other parts of the body? What makes the symptoms better or worse? What is the pain like? What is their emotional state? Dreams? What was happening right before they got sick or developed this symptom? How long have they been experiencing the symptom(s)?

I Invite You, You May Get A YES

At the end of each of my blogs, I always write – I would be happy to talk with you about how homeopathy can be of help to you. I invite you, I encourage you to contact me.

Potential Patients

I have patients say to me that they have mentioned homeopathy to a family member or a friend. Other motther offeringhealth practitioners that I know, also have told me that they have mentioned homeopathy to some of their patients. My response always is please let the person know that I would be happy to talk with them.

What I know of some of these potential patients:

  • A young woman who has had an averse reaction to the to Gardasil vaccine (HPV).
  • A woman who experiences constant pain.
  • A boy who is having difficulty in school.
  • A woman who experiences vertigo.
  • A man who is having severe headaches, which is affecting his vision.
  • A young girl who has eczema on her hands.
  • A baby who is having digestive issues – after he eats, he spits up and is in constant pain.
  • A woman who is having hot flashes that are affecting her sleep.
  • An older woman who is looking for natural ways to help her in her health.
  • A woman who is having menstrual issues.
  • A woman who experiences episodes of depression.
  • A young women who feels overly anxious and emotional. (There is nothing wrong with feeling emotional, but she is not liking it.)

The list could go on. And you can see it is people of all ages, and for all different kinds of health concerns.

I know that some of these people have done other healing modalities, western medicine included. They may be taking a prescribed medication, which is alleviating or palliating their symptoms, but not necessarily healing. What is bothering them still continues to bother them. (Homeopathy can be used along with western medications.)

Homeopathy

In the consultation, the homeopath listens, observes, and witnesses what is bothering the person, what their suffering is like. A homeopathic remedy is given that is similar to the person’s suffering. The word homeopathy means “similar suffering”. (The main principle of homeopathy is Like Cures Like.)

The homeopathic remedy stimulates the person’s own healing process, their immune system, and heals at the core, at the source, of where the symptoms, the discomfort, and the pain come from. Homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances, are non-toxic and gentle in their healing.

I Invite You

Over the last year, I have entered several juried art shows. I was accepted into a few of the  bird flyingshows, and some I was not accepted into. My thinking was: enter the shows I was interested in. If I didn’t enter them, it would be a definite NO. If I did enter them, it could be a YES! I would not get a YES unless I moved forward and took action. So I did.

I invite you to take action and to find out about how homeopathy can be healing for you or a loved one. See if it can be a YES for you. You don’t know unless you do it, otherwise, it is a definite NO, and you may just continue to not feel well.

Either contact me through this blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com  and let’s talk to see how homeopathy may help you. I do work with patients who are not local to the San Diego area by using Skype.

Are You Feeling Run Down? Homeopathy Can Help

We lead very busy lives. Work, family, commitments, responsibilities, even leisure activities. We live a fast paced life. Always busy, always having things that need to be done, going non-stop. And we experience a constant bombardment of information from the media.

Taking a break, resting, taking a day off is often a very good idea. Sometimes though, we don’t do this on our own, and our body says we  relaxingneed to. We need to rest; we need to take time off. What happens is that we may start to not feel well. We feel tired. We come down with something – a flu, a cold, a headache, a stomachache, a sore throat. We may experience a flare-up of an ongoing health issue, such as with our digestion, asthmatic symptoms, fatigue, anxiety, depression, skin eruptions and more. Our body is saying, hey, if you don’t take time off and slow down, I will make it so you have to take time off and slow down.

Does this sound a little familiar?

Being Run Down

I am writing this blog after the holiday season. At this time of the year, we have been so busy with family and friends, traveling, making preparations, shopping, going to and hosting parties, fulfilling expectations, eating, and more. And we may have not taken time to be quiet, and have down time. We have become run down.

It is very common to feel run down at this time of the year. It is good to take a day off, to take time for ourselves. And it is always good to listen to our bodies and to our inner voice on how we feel. To honor when we need to take time for ourselves.

Healing With Homeopathy

If this is happening very often to you, and you are feeling run down, becoming sick, and/or having flare-ups of a chronic condition on a regular basis, I invite you to schedule time for yourself, and to see how homeopathy can be of help to you in your health.

I would be very happy to talk with you further about your particular health concern. You can contact me here on this blog, or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com.  I have a 15 minute Get Acquainted Call.

Recurring Health Concerns

This past week, I had a call from a father about his 3 month old baby daughter. He has had experience with homeopathy before having taken his older child to see a homeopath. He told me that his little baby daughter was not feeling well. She had had a cold several weeks ago, was better, but now she was not feeling well again. She wasn’t running a fever, and he didn’t think that she was in pain. He said she was irritable.

I was thinking that maybe her irritability was an expression of some sort of pain or discomfort. Obviously, she wasn’t feeling well. Babies and small children don’t tell us through words how they are feeling, but through sounds, behaviors, actions, movements, changes in moods and temperaments. This baby was expressing something through her irritability.

Unfortunately, the father cancelled the appointment he had made with me for his daughter. He told me that they had taken her to see a doctor, who said that it was a cold. The father decided to not pursue homeopathic care, at this time. I said, if the cold continues, or if it returns, it would be a good idea to bring your daughter in for homeopathic care, since she already has been experiencing a recurrence of this, and we don’t want that to continue.

People I Speak To

gumby sickWhen I talk to people either in person or on the phone, they tell me about their particular health concern. I hear all sorts of things, such as the person is experiencing pains and discomforts in their feet. They have an extremely itchy rash or eczema eruption. Breathing is difficult for them. The get very anxious in some situations. There are feelings of sadness or depression. They don’t sleep well. During their menstrual cycle certain symptoms come up. They are extremely fearful and/or have nightmares. They have ongoing headaches, stomachaches, or digestive issues. I hear all sorts of things. The person is not feeling well, and they want to feel better.

Recurring Health Concern

Their health concern is often something that has been going on for a awhile, or it had gone away and now it is recurring again. They have periodic flare ups of it. They are not feeling better from the type of treatment they are using for their health concern, and they want to feel better.

In a previous post, I wrote about a young boy who had recurring congestion, fevers and ear infections. The boy had taken several courses of antibiotics. Each time, he would be better for a month or so, and then the whole situation would happen again. The homeopathic remedy that fit him, that was similar to what he was experiencing, helped him to heal this recurrence of the ear infections, the fevers, and the congestion. He has done well.

Often when there is a recurring health concern, the treatment being used helps to ease and to palliate when there is an outbreak or flare up. This treatment helps the person feel better for the time being, but doesn’t heal the health concern. The person needs to continue taking the medication to feel better, often accepting that these recurrences will happen again, and again.

Does this sound like you?

Healing With Homeopathy

Homeopathy heals at the root cause of what is bothering the person. It is a deep healing. As the person heals, the recurrences and flare ups become less and less, till they no longer happen at all. It is a healing. With the young boy I wrote of, I had thought there might be a recurrence of the ear infection as he was healing, but there wasn’t. The cycle was broken. With an adult, the stopping of the cycle may take longer to happen than with this young boy, since the adult has had this health concern for a longer period of time. But the cycle does end.

I invite you to see how homeopathy can help a recurring health concern that you have. Either contact me here, through this blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com. I offer a 15 minute complimentary Get Acquainted Call. I would be happy to talk with you about your health concern and/or a loved one.

Is The Holiday Season A Difficult Time For You? Homeopathy Helps

It is just about the start of the holiday season. Stores are starting to be more crowded. The temperatures are cooler. We are making plans – to travel, to see friends and family, to host and attend parties, for celebrations, and to shop. This time of year can be both wonderful, and can be difficult for people. It brings up a lot in us, about ourselves, our families, our financial tree reflectionsituation, our childhoods, our futures, our children, our hopes, our dreams, and our health. A lot. In many, many ways, it is a busier time of the year.

(Two years ago, I wrote a post talking about the holiday blues. I wanted to write about the holiday season again. You can read that earlier post by clicking here.)

The Holiday Season

During the holiday season, we can be more susceptible to becoming ill, whether we become ill or there is a flare up of an ongoing chronic health concern that we experience from time to time. We may be more sensitive to our surroundings at this time of the year, and therefore experience more triggers. Our schedule is different, sleeping too little, staying up late at night and getting up early in the morning. The foods we eat are different. We eat and drink too much. We travel and are in different time zones. We are around more people, the general public and our families and friends. We are alone, and may feel isolated. We have expectations of the holidays, of ourselves, and where we are in our lives. All of these could be triggers.

Getting Sick During The Holiday Season

Someone may say, you know, every year around the Christmas holidays I get sick, like with a really bad flu. Or someone else may say, this time of the year is when I get so many asthma attacks, I wonder why. And for others, their digestion may be off. Some may experience more headaches. Others are feeling more anxiety or depression. And others may have flare ups of their skin eruptions. These are just a few of what some people may experience.

The important thing is to take care of yourself. Listen to what your body, and your soul needs, or doesn’t need. Listen to your gut. Kind of checking in with yourself. Trusting and honoring yourself.

Healing With Homeopathy

Homeopathy can be very helpful and healing during this time of the year. I have heard some homeopaths talk about their practice being quite busy during the holiday months, November thru January. Issues, emotions, situations, responses, reactions, and physical complaints and concerns may come more to the surface than at other times of the year. Because they are more accessible and right there on the surface, it may be a good time to come for homeopathic care.

I invite you to give yourself, and/or a loved one, the gift of health. I would be happy to talk with you, either through this blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com.

*******

I will be continuing to write a weekly blog, but I wanted to get this one out at the start of this holiday season. Whatever holidays you celebrate, I wish you a wonderful time filled with happiness, fun, safety, joy, and health.

People Showing An Interest in Homeopathy, And Wanting To Know More

A lot of people I talk to have used the homeopathic remedy Arnica montana. Actually, I think Arnica montana is what  150 - boiron arnicaintroduces a lot of people to homeopathy.

What I Hear From People Who Have Used Arnica Montana

People tell me that they use Arnica montana for all different kinds of situations. One woman has used it when she had sprained her ankle. Another woman mentioned that her friend used Arnica montana when they had knee surgery. A mom has said they she uses Arnica montana when her child falls down at the playground. And a man has said that his dentist very often suggests that he use Arnica montana after he has had dental work, such as a filling or an extraction. In all of these situations, Arnica montana has helped. (Click here to read a blog about Arnica montana.)

When I am talking with someone who has a sprained or strained their arm. leg, ankle or wrist, and they have used Arnica montana, I may mention the homeopathic remedy Ruta grav. Often, this remedy is new to the person. They have not heard of it before. And I may mention that it is better to use homeopathy orally, in pellet form, than to use it topically as a cream or ointment, such as ArnicaGel. Generally, homeopathy is used orally, which promotes a deep healing.

And then I say, there are over 4000 homeopathic remedies.

Over 4000 Homeopathic Remedies

People don’t know that there are over 4000 homeopathic remedies. And it isn’t important that they do know. They know of Arnica montana, and maybe they know of a few other homeopathic remedies, and have used them for a stomach ache, indigestion, pain, a cold, or a fever. They have seen 50 homeopathic remedies at their local health food store. People purchase them, self treat, going by what is printed on the label.

Why I mention that there are over 4000 homeopathic remedies is that there is so much more to homeopathy than helping with bruising, traumas, falls, surgeries, which Arnica montana is so helpful for. Homeopathy does help in first aid and acute care, like colds, flus, stomach aches, AND, homeopathy is so helpful for chronic conditions, where other forms of healing, including western conventional medicine has not helped.

So when I say there are over 4000 homeopathic remedies, what I am saying is – you, who have used homeopathy and it has helped, and you who have shown an interest in homeopathy, why not see how homeopathy can be helpful for other health concerns that you or your loved ones may experience. Such as:

  • chronic ear infections, sore throats, stomach aches, colds.
  • on going nightmares and/or fears.
  • a child who is having difficulty at school in terms of behavior, focusing, or paying attention.
  • bedwetting.
  • menstrual difficulties.
  • migraines and other types of headaches.
  • depression, anxiety, fearfulness, difficulty getting out of the house.
  • skin eruptions – eczema, psoriasis, warts, moles, rashes.
  • digestive issues.
  • fatigue, no energy, tires easily.
  • respiratory difficulties – asthma.
  • allergies – seasonal, foods.
  • muscular aches and pains.
  • not well since.
  • just not feeling well.

Healing With Homeopathy

Homeopathy treats the individual person. To me this one of the wonderful aspects of homeopathy. Homeopathy is truly a spiral of colorsmedicine of the individual. The homeopathic practitioner (the homeopath), through observation, listening, questioning, is finding out how each person experiences their particular health concern. Two people can come in for homeopathic treatment, each having the similar complaint, let say headaches, but underneath, deep down to the root cause, each of these two people experience their headache uniquely to them, and differently from each other. The homeopath is hearing, listening and observing each person.

A homeopathic remedy is given, that is similar to what the person is experiencing. The homeopathic remedy is for the individual. This remedy, one out of 4000, stimulates the person’s own wonderful healing ability. The person is feeling better, their immune system is stronger, and what brought the person in is getting better, such as the headaches, from the example I gave.

I write this blog to educate, to deepen, and to broaden people’s knowledge of homeopathy. I invite those who already have an interest in homeopathy; those who have used homeopathy, finding it helpful; and those who are new to homeopathy and have an interest in holistic medicine, to see how homeopathy can be of help in yours and your loved ones healing. Contact me here through my blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com.  I would be happy to talk with you, I offer a complimentary Get Acquainted Call.

We Each Have Our Own Sensitivity

Sensitivity.

We all have our own sensitivity. Why does something bother one person, but the very same thing doesn’t bother another person?  I often give the example of a skin eruption on someone’s hand. For one person, it bothers them so much to the point that they will seek out any and all kinds of treatment to help. Another person, hardly notices it, or if they do, it doesn’t bother them. They live with it. One person is bothered by it, the other is not. One is sensitive about it, the other is not.

Different Sensitivities

Some sensitivities that people may experience are:                                                                                                                          dandalion

  • to noise, to crowds, to fabrics, to foods, to temperatures, to smells, to certain types of people, to violence, to blood, to over stimulation, to under stimulation, to pain, to pressure, to situations, to traveling, to dirt, to germs, and more.

Parts of the body or the functioning of parts of the body that may be more sensitive in someone are:

  • the stomach – digestive issues, the head – migraines, frequent colds, sore throats, respiratory issues, menstrual issues, hormonal issues – in both women and men, skin eruptions, anxiousness, depression/melancholy, fears and phobias, muscular aches and pains, sleep issues, nightmares, eating issues, and more.

Hearing The Sensitivity – A Case of A Boy

The sensitivity is what I hear when someone comes to see me for homeopathy. I hear what bothers the person. I hear how they experience their sensitivity. I hear how they live with the sensitivity, either compensating, making it go away, accepting it, or avoiding it. I hear how the sensitivity affects their life.

I want to tell you about a boy whose parents brought him in for homeopathic care. He was 20 months old at the time. The boy was experiencing nasal congestion, fevers, and possible ear infections, in which several courses of antibiotics had been given. The antibiotics had helped for four weeks, then the congestion, the fevers, the discomfort in the ear returned. He went through this cycle for several months.

As I spoke to the parents and observed the boy, I saw that he had a sensitivity to noise and sounds. His mother told me that when a sound was loud, or if he heard a far off sound, such as an airplane, actually hearing it before she did, he would run to her. She thought that the sounds were scary or frightening to him. He was not saying how he experienced the sounds through words, but showing through his behaviors, reactions, and responses to the sounds. There was a sensitivity to sound. I wondered if the sounds felt uncomfortable or painful to him in some way. Whatever it was, the sounds and noises were too much for him. I really didn’t know how the sounds specifically affected him, but they bothered him greatly, in some way.

boy with truck 2 cartoonThis sensitivity to sound was also expressed as he played. He would make the sounds of trucks, imitating the noises that trucks make as they move, back up, carry things, and push materials. To me, this also showed how sensitive he was to sound. He heard things well, and could reproduce the sounds that he heard.

He has done well with the homeopathic remedy that was similar to what he was experiencing. He hasn’t needed to have any more antibiotics. He has had a few fevers and nasal congestion, but has been able to move through them without any lingering problems. I would be curious to know how his sensitivity to sound and noises are. I would think that he may have less of a sensitivity to them.

Healing With Homeopathy

The sensitivity to sounds is not why the boy’s parents brought him in for homeopathic care. But this sensitivity was very characteristic of him as an individual person, and very much part of him. Homeopathy looks at, and focuses on the whole person. We all of our own sensitivity, and sensitive areas in our body. This is where we may experience symptoms, discomfort, or flare ups when we are experience situations that are stressful physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. With homeopathic care, the sensitivity becomes less and quiets down.

What is your sensitivity? I invite you to contact me either here through the blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com  and set up a Get Acquainted Call. I do work with people who don’t live near me using Skype.

Are You Just Not Feeling Well? Homeopathy Heals

A man asked me recently if I see people in my homeopathic practice who have psychosomatic illnesses. I interpreted his question as being –

  • someone has not been feeling well
  • has seen their doctor
  • their doctor did not find anything wrong with them, after doing an examination and different tests were given (It is always good to check things out with your doctor.)
  • a prescription medication for anti-anxiety, depression or a tranquilizer type of medication may have been suggested
  • the person may have taken or not taken the medication
  • the person is not feeling well, still

Yes, I see people like that, I said to this man. In fact, I call it  – just not feeling well.

Just Not Feeling Well

I think we know when we are not feeling well. We circles in waterknow ourselves. It is an inner listening and knowing what feels right and what does not feel right. This man was saying, he wasn’t feeling well. He wasn’t feeling like himself, although the doctor did not find anything wrong, and may have labelled it psychosomatic. This man is still not feeling well.

People come to homeopathy for many reasons, and sometimes it is that they are just not feeling well, or not feeling like themselves. One woman I spoke to recently was talking about emotional issues that she was experiencing. She wanted to let go of some negative emotions that were keeping her stuck, and move forward in her life. She didn’t mention any physical symptoms that were bothering her.

We can not feel well on any level – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We are more than just physical symptoms. When someone is not feeling well, whatever the symptoms are, or on whatever level the person is not feeling well, it is the vital force or the life energy of the person saying, hey something is not right. We need to listen to this.

A homeopathic remedy that is similar to what the person is experiencing is given – Like Cures Like. This homeopathic remedy stimulates the person’s vital force, or own healing process. The healing is on all levels, the physical, the emotional, the mental, and the spiritual. The person is healing themselves.

What Someone May Be Experiencing When Just Not Feeling Well

These could be how the not feeling well is experienced:

  • anxiousness
  • a gnawing feeling inside – emotionally or physically
  • depression
  • sadness
  • not sleeping well
  • dreams that are unsettling
  • stomach upsets and other digestive issues
  • sneezing without a cold or allergies
  • a malaise
  • lack of energy and/or lack of motivation
  • lack of focus
  • changes in eating habits
  • headaches
  • with children – changes in behaviors, eating, sleeping
  • concern on how to handle a situation
  • stress at work

Healing With Homeopathy

Is there something that you are just not feeling well about? And you have seen your doctor and you are still not feeling well? Homeopathy can be of help. I encourage you to contact me here on the blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com to talk about how homeopathy can be of help to you, or a loved one. “Listening Through” To Really Hear What Bothers The Person

People come to homeopathy for all sorts of reasons. For physical complaints, like asthma, arthritis, digestive issues, headaches, menstrual issues, and allergies. For emotional issues, like fears, anxiety, depression, anger, and grief. For mental issues, like difficulty focusing and memory loss.  And for other concerns. Whatever the reason is that brings someone to homeopathy, it is always where the person is listened to, heard, and seen for who he is, and for what bothers him. Lately, I have been calling this “listening through”.

Not Being Bogged Down In The Story

Listening through. It is not getting bogged down into the literalness of what the person is saying, Not getting involved in the story, the specficness of the story, or the characters the person is talking about. Not getting involved in the emotionality of the story. It is rather, what is the story expressing? What is the sensitivity that this person experiences, that is expressed in this story? Someone may be talking about their brother-in-law, or their boss in the story. The person is really talking about himself. What is the sensitivity here, that is being expressed through the brother-in-law or the boss?

Hand Gestures

Listening through. It is also watching, observing and seeing where the emphasis of what bothers the person is being expressed. This is done often by hand gestures, recurring hand gestures. The hand gestures are showing that what the person is saying is important, that it is expressive of their state of what is bothering them. For example, a patient of mine, was talking about the pain she experiences in her hands, and as she was talking about it, she was making a hand gesture of tightly closing her hands together and then opening them up. I asked, what is that that you are doing? Tell me more. It is squeezing, she said, a sensation of tightening, tightening really tight, squeezing.

The gestures could also be facial expressions, or bigger movements, such as continually moving around in their seat or moving around the room. Another patient of mine, a young girl, crawled and crept around my consultation room, going behind the chairs, under the desk, and into the corners of the room.

All of these kinds of movements – hand gestures, facial expressions, larger movements – are expressive of the person.

Learning The Person’s Language

scrabble-243192__180Listening through. It is also learning the person’s language, Deciphering their code. Getting to know their language, their use of words and their movements. What do they mean by the words and expressions they use? It is not interpreting. It is learning what the person means by the words or expressions spoken. That is why I often ask, tell me more about what this (word) means to you, or what is the experience or sensation of this “word” for you. I know what the word means for me, but I don’t know what it means for the person.

And some of what someone is saying will not make sense in terms of our every day use of language. The person is speaking their language, which is expressive of what is bothering them.

Listening Through

Listening through. Listening to. Listening openly. Listening without prejudice. Listening without judgement. It is listening to the person to understand them as an individual, and from that to give a homeopathic remedy that is similar to all of it. The homeopathic remedy stimulates their healing.

Healing With Homeopathy

Is there a place where you feel you are being listened through? That what is bothering you in your health is really understood and seen?  That is what homeopathy does. Please contact me here through my blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com to talk further. I have a complimentary 15 minute Get Acquainted Call.

Homeopathy Is Helpful To Use Before, During And After Pregnancy

Recently, a patient of mine asked me if one can use homeopathy when pregnant, and then she said she was pregnant. I said, yes, it is fine, and it is safe. I congratulated her, telling her how wonderful it is that she is pregnant. And that, it is a good time to do homeopathy when she is pregnant because it will help both her, and her baby.

Homeopathy Is Helpful For Moms, And Dads, – Before Pregnancy, During Pregnancy, And After Pregnancy.

By both parents, the mom and the dad, receiving homeopathic care before the pregnancy, they will also be helping the health of their future children. pregnant womanMany times in families, there are tendencies and susceptibilities towards certain health conditions that are then passed down from one generation to another. Often, people will say, asthma runs in my family, or eczema, or allergies, or depression, or as I have heard lately thyroid conditions. People will say my mother had this, or my grandfather, or my father. A tendency or susceptibility doesn’t mean that someone will definitely develop this particular health issue in the future, but they may be more prone to developing it than other people who do not have this tendency in their families. Having homeopathic treatment before pregnancy, and during pregnancy, lessens these tendencies and susceptibilities, so that they are not passed down to the next generation. Instead, it is like passing down an immunity. For couples who are thinking and planning on having a family, having homeopathic care is a good idea.

Focusing On The Mother

It is safe to use homeopathy when a woman is pregnant, The woman may be already coming in for homeopathy to help with some health concern she is experiencing, and becomes pregnant during this time, like the patient I mentioned. Or a woman may start homeopathic care because she has a health concern, and is also thinking about becoming pregnant in the near future, whether for the first time, or she already has children. Or a woman is already pregnant, and wants help with a particular health concern that has come up during the pregnancy. These are all good reasons to come to homeopathy.

Usually, a particular health issue is what bought the woman in to homeopathy, (and the dad too, if he also comes in). In addition to this concern, the homeopath also wants to know about the whole of the woman – other concerns she may have, what is stress like for her, how she experiences what bothers her, her dreams, her fears, and more. A homeopathic remedy is given that is similar (Law of Similars or Like Cures Like).to what the woman is experiencing, to the wholeness of her. The homeopathic remedy stimulates her own healing process. The vital force or immune system is strengthened – the health issue is better, and she is feeling better in herself. And this helps the baby as well.

Some Health Concerns That Women Experience

Homeopathy is helpful for women before pregnancy, during pregnancy, during the delivery, postpartum, and helpful for health issues that the baby may experience. It is important to receive prenatal care from a health practitioner – ob/gyn, midwife, nurse practitioner, osteopath, and/or others. Homeopathy can be used along with this care.

Here are some of the health concerns that may bring a woman to homeopathy before, during and after pregnancy:

  • morning sickness
  • extreme fatigue
  • sleeping issues
  • chronic colds, coughs, flus
  • increased blood sugars
  • increase in blood pressure
  • skin eruptions – acne, rashes, eczema, psoriasis
  • urinary tract infections
  • emotional issues – fears, anxiousness, depression, grief
  • exasperation of an ongoing health issue  – allergies, asthma, headaches, migraines
  • postpartum depression
  • labor issues
  • recovery from vaginal births and caesarean sections
  • breastfeeding issues
  • health of the baby
  • more

Healing With Homeopathy

During pregnancies, there is the concern of safety to the baby. Homeopathic remedies are safe to use when pregnant, and when nursing the baby. There are no side effects, and the homeopathic remedies are non-toxic. The homeopathic remedy given to the woman is addressing her, her particular health concerns and how she experiences them. This puts the woman into a more healthful state, and the baby as well.  I often say that during a pregnancy, the baby and the mom share the same state.
