I have recently started weaving tapestries again. It has been a long time since I have woven. I have painted over these last years, but have not woven. Weaving is slow and a little rigid in that you can’t move around the warp as you can around a canvas or a paper, although I have thought about trying “moving around” on the warp. I feel very happy that I am weaving again.
I had been saying over the years that if I do weave again, it will be different. What I wove recently was different from what I had woven before, yet it was the same, too. I remembered how to do it – the techniques of tapestry weaving I remembered. The image of the tapestry is slightly different from ones that I have done in the past. Actually, what I wove is a section from a painting I did several years ago. My son wrote in a text to me after seeing the tapestry, “I see similarities to your recent paintings, but it also still calls back to your older tapestries.” He put it will. There is a blending of the new and the old.
Never Too Late
It is never too late to do something new or go back to what we have done before. And it is never too late to find out if there are other possibilities for our health care and ways to take care of ourselves, such as with using homeopathy. If we are experiencing a health issue for a long time and are not feeling any better, it may be a good time to see what other options there are. When I meet with a patient, I ask when did this or these symptoms start to bother you, and what was going on then in your life. It could have been something that happened recently or it could have been something fairly back in time. Homeopathy can help no matter when something happened. It is not too late to help yourself even from things that have happened in the past.
I think we sometimes get stuck in a rut. We keep doing the same things over and over again, not necessarily thinking or knowing even that there could be some other ways of doing things. Maybe it feels like it is too much to do anything new, or to change it, or to even look around to see if there are any other options.
I receive calls and emails from many people regarding a health issue for themselves or for a loved one. They may have found that the types of health treatments they are doing are not helping them. They want to feel better and are feeling stuck. With the people who call me, some have used homeopathy before and some have not. All of them were open to seeing how something new could be of help to them. Some of these people made an appointment to see me and some did not. Still, they were open to see about something new.
There are always opportunities, choices, and possibilities. It is never too late to get care, even going back to some healing treatment you did before. It is never too late to start something new, or to pick up some activity or passion or love that you did before, just as I did with tapestry weaving.

I want to mention again about THE MID-SEMESTER REFRESHER, a free summit being held online from October 24th – 30th. I invite you to register for the summit and to hear my approximately 22 minute interview on homeopathy. There are over 20 speakers, talking about many topics that parents and parents of teens would been interested in. Here is the link to find out more about the summit, the other speakers and where to register.
Healing Is A Process
With talking about the use of homeopathy with families, I want to write about some of the people I have worked with over the years, and how homeopathy has helped them. I am not giving you the whole case of each person. I meet with people for almost 2 hours for the first appointment. Giving the main gist of the case, so you will get a feel for it.
Each person’s healing process is different. Usually for acute illnesses, you want to see something fairly quickly. For chronic health issues, it is a longer trajectory. The person has experienced what is bothering them for awhile, and it is an unraveling over a period of time. Of course with children, the healing is a shorter period of time because they have lived a shorter period of time.
Some patients did well with the first homeopathic remedy given, maybe one dose, or several doses over a period of time. Some needed more than one homeopathic remedy, a series of homeopathic remedies using one after another. This is quite common. Some patients, who did well, continue to work with me when something else comes up.
Some Of My Patients
One boy who I saw had continual ear aches and infections. He had been on several rounds of antibiotics. The ear pain and congestion would return soon after each round of antibiotic. He was very sensitive to sounds, in that he could hear sounds very far off in the distance, running to his mother. We didn’t know if the sounds were uncomfortable or scary to him. After taking one or two doses of the homeopathic remedy, the ear aches, infections and congestion did not return. He was better and the circular use of antibiotics stopped.
Over these last two years, I have seen 5 or more children who had warts. Each child was different. One child had warts on their hands; one on their feet. The shape, the hardness or softness was different with each child. Each of them needed a different homeopathic remedy that helped them. This is a good example of how with homeopathy it is not a homeopathic remedy for _____________, (name, diagnosis, label), it is a homeopathic remedy for how the ________________ is experienced for each individual person, what it is like for this person and knowing more about each the person. Homeopathy really looks at the individual.
A young girl who had stomach pains often. She felt very anxious about what was happening in her life and about her relationships. She often would experience the stomach pains when she was feeling anxious. She did well with the homeopathic remedy, taking several doses over a period of time.
A woman who had extreme sensitivity to noise and sounds. She had used other healing treatments, including steroids and chiropractic care, which she said made the sensitivity worse. When we first met she was using ear plugs and ear muffs, wearing them all the time. And the audio was turned off during our Skype appointment. She couldn’t hear me; what I said was being transcribed. It was the third homeopathic remedy that we used that helped. The first two didn’t do very much, yet brought us to the third, because we met and I would find out more about her, including her emotional state. Three weeks after taking the third homeopathic remedy, she said, I noticed that when I washed my hands, my ears didn’t hurt. She gradually did better and better. We used this remedy over a period time, giving a dose of it when needed. Gradually, her sensitivity became less and less. Now, she ha slight sensitivity when using a cell phone too long.
A two year old girl had extreme fears. She came from a large family and was comfortable with them. With people outside of her family, she felt fearful. She would scream if someone approached her, not make eye contact with them, run to her mother crying and screaming. She would say “I am scared” at these times. She needed to be near her mother all the time. At night, she needed to be near someone while she was going to sleep. If she woke up and found herself alone, she would scream. She didn’t like the dark. There probably was a light on in her room. She was also very frightened of the stove in the kitchen, and wouldn’t go into the kitchen alone. After taking a dose of the homeopathic remedy given, her mother said her daughter was like a new person. She was now saying hi to strangers at the store and making eye contact with them. She wasn’t afraid of the stove in the kitchen anymore. She needed several dose of this remedy over time. Her fears became less and less when around people. I continue to see this little girl and her family as patients, for other health issues, and other homeopathic remedies are used to address them. She is now 5 years old.
A 19 year old girl felt nauseous almost all the time, which made it hard for her to eat. She exercised a lot and was very involved with collegiate type team sports. She was training and was part of races. At these times, she felt very nauseous and would often vomit. The first remedy she took didn’t’ do very much. The second remedy helped, in which she experienced less and less nausea and was no longer vomiting.
A dad of a family I work with was sick. He usually is very warm, hot even, person, wearing a jacket when others do. When he came to me, he was tired, run down, and very, very cold, which was not like him. He did well with the homeopathic remedy. What he was experiencing was more of an acute issue than a chronic, ongoing one.
Homeopathy To Heal
You can see that people come to homeopathy for many different and varied health issues. I actually see many people who have tried other healing treatments and are not doing and feeling better. If you don’t see your health issue here, or in prior posts where I have listed issues people have seen me for, I invite you to be in touch with me and let’s talk. I offer a complimentary 15 + Get Acquainted Call. You can contact me either here on the blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com.
I encourage you to look at the summit, to see the different speakers. My interview is about 22 minutes long talking about homeopathy and how it is helpful for families. Here is the link again to the summit.
I recently was invited to be part of a Summit on Teens, called THE MID-SEMESTER REFRESH, to talk about homeopathy. I will be giving an overview of homeopathy and how it can be helpful for families and their health. This event is organized and created by Jessyka Coulter, a Study Skills Tutor. Jessyka has brought together over 20 speakers to talk about various topics regarding teens, their health and their families health, how they learn, support for them and more. The event is being held online from October 24th to the 30th. Click here to see the other speakers and to sign up for this free event. I feel excited to be part of this event, and to be talking about homeopathy and families.
*******
The following is a blog post I wrote a while ago about families using homeopathy. I wanted to share it with you again, having added a few thoughts.
In my homeopathic practice, I often work with families, seeing several people in the family: the children, one or both of the parents, and a grandparent. I really enjoy working with families, and getting to know them. Recently, a friend said to me that working with families may be my niche.
Healing – The Family
Usually it is one of the children who starts to see me. As they are doing better, a sibling, a parent, or another family member starts to come in for homeopathic care. By working with the different members of the family, I see the interactions, the similarities, the differences between the family members, and the medical history of the family. Just as each of us are a whole to ourselves, and the symptoms we experience are pieces of this whole, the family is a whole, and each member of the family is a piece of this whole.
Often, there is a family member that is not doing well. Sometimes, they have become the center of attention for the whole family. As this family member starts to feel and do better in their health, other family members can now pay attention to and take care of themselves. It is as if the other family members were holding back, focusing so much on this one family member that needed so much, and now the other family members can focus on themselves, their needs, and their health. By helping one family member is actually helping and focusing on the whole of the family’s health.
Health Concerns Family Members Experience
These are some of the health concerns that members of a family have come to homeopathy for:
pains in the abdomen before menses
chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia
difficulty with vision
tantrums, acting out
fears
sleep difficulties
earaches, congestion, fevers, coughs
broken bones, fractures
skin eruptions and skin feeling very sensitive, warts, eczema
breathing difficulties – asthma
epilepsy
depression and anxiety, with pains in the stomach
digestive issues
reaction to a vaccine
menstrual issues – menopause
sore throats
teething
migraines and headaches
feeling very chilled
vertigo
coronavirus
Usually, it is a chronic condition that brings the first family member into homeopathy. Then another family member comes in for a chronic, an acute or first aid issue. Homeopathy becomes part of their health care resources, along with western medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, therapy and other healing modalities.
Homeopathy To Heal
If I can be of help to you, and/or your family, please contact me and let’s talk to see how homeopathy would be a good fit for you. You can contact me here or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com. I work with people both local and outside of the San Diego, California area, either in person or virtually. And as you gathered, I see babies through older adults for many different health issues.
Many people come in for homeopathic care for a chronic health issue, that they may have been experiencing for awhile. When I meet with a patient I am finding out how they experience what is bothering them.
Sometimes, this may take several appointments. Each appointment gives more information towards getting the totality picture of the person. To have as complete a picture of the person, helps to come to the homeopathic remedy that is most similar to the patient.
Taking Everything Into Consideration
All of what I have listed here, and maybe more, makes up the totality of the person.
What is bothering them? Why have they come for homeopathic care?
How do they experience what bothers them? Pain, discomfort, side of body, what makes it worse or better, other symptoms with it. The sensation of what bothers them. Why is this a problem?
When did it start? What was going in their life when it started? A trauma, a loss of job, loss of a relationship or loved one, a physical move, diet change, medications taken, a particular medical condition?
An unusual symptom or how someone experiences a symptoms uniquely to them. It is called strange, rare and peculiar (SRP)
Emotional state
Mental state
Dreams
Fears
Childhood – events, illnesses
Trauma – illnesses, loss of loved one, loss of home, accident, loss of job, accident, natural disasters
Interests
Medical history
Family medical history – susceptibility to health concerns are passed down from one generation to another. Susceptibility means a tendency to experience/develop certain symptoms or illnesses.
Medications taken over lifetime, especially if they were ongoing. The person may have noticed changes/symptoms when starting the medications, or later on. Medications like: antibiotics, vaccines, for fertility treatments, birth control pills.
Use of a substance for a long period of time, which has been toxic, such as chewing tobacco, smoking, drinking alcohol, and use of cell phone, especially with children. Symptoms or ill health developed after this. I have read cases about symptoms and ill health developing with overuse of what I have listed here.
Seeing The Totality Of The Person
It is seeing the totality. Finding out as much as possible about the patient. Seeing what may have brought them to this state of ill health. With this understanding and knowledge of their totality, a homeopathic remedy is given. As the healing process moves forward, this first homeopathic remedy may be repeated, a higher potency/strength of the remedy may be given, or another homeopathic remedy will be given. It is a process. Each homeopathic remedy helps us to move forward to the next, and is chosen based on the similarity to what the person is experiencing at that time. The Law of Similars or Like Cures Like is the main principle of homeopathy. The given homeopathic remedies stimulate the person’s own healing abilities, bringing the person back to a more healthful state of being.
Homeopathy To Heal
These are some of the recent health issues people have called me about, and have come in for homeopathic care. Many of these people have also reached out to their physician.
skin eruptions – warts, eczema, rashes
swollen lymph nodes
vertigo
migraines/headaches
fears/phobias
anxiety/depression
digestive issues
menstrual issues
extreme sensitivity to sound and noise
reactions to vaccines
traumas – physical, emotional, mental
eye discomfort and infection
pressure in the head
not feeling right

I wrote this post about 5 years ago. I want to share it with you again. I added a few things.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
I feel that people are looking for a natural, non-invasive, deep healing modality. They may be tired of not feeling well, and tired of taking medications that are not really healing. And they want to be better.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
It is to offer a healing modality that truly is healing. Healing at the root cause from which the symptoms, the discomfort, and the pains come from.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
It is a system of medicine that addresses the individual. Seeing each person as the unique person they are.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
As I see people healing and doing better, they are more at ease to be fully themselves, and are no longer being limited by the symptoms that are experiencing. They are no longer stuck.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
It is helpful for many of the health issues that people are experiencing today.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
I see people as they heal, through the help of homeopathy, being able to use other healing modalities in a much more constructive and positive way.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
I feel there is such a need for homeopathy. There are more toxic substances that we are being exposed to, in the environment, in foods, in cleaning and cosmetic products, and in the medicines that are being used.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
I think it is important for people to have choices in their health care, to know that they have options in how to take care of themselves and their family. This can be empowering.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
I like to give hope. To know that we can change, heal and feel better.
Why do I practice homeopathy?
It makes sense to me. It resonates with me. I continue to learn. It is a WOW to me.

Part of this blog is from a post I wrote several years ago. I wanted to share it again. I have been hearing a lot about listening to ourselves, especially during the times we are going through.
Listening, observing, witnessing, finding out how the person experiences what bothers them is what I do as a homeopath. I think I am a good listener, to others, but maybe not so good at listening to myself, hearing myself.
Are We Listening To Ourselves?
For me, sometimes, I am easily swayed or influenced by what other people say to me, or are doing. I need time afterwards to sift through, and process the information and energy of others. As a society, we are bombarded by all sorts of information, almost instantaneously and continually. From that we often think we need to be doing this or that, feeling this or that, comparing ourselves to others, and ultimately not being in tune with ourselves. We may not be listening to our own needs and wants, and who we are as an individual person.
Listening is not just with our ears. It is what we sense about ourselves and around us, and how we feel, inside. Our gut feeling.
Our bodies can tell us a lot of how we are reacting to a situation. Our thoughts tell us too. These reactions, responses and thoughts are often autonomic. We go to them immediately. Physically, we may get sick, which is a way of telling ourselves to slow down, to pause, to rest and to listen. Our head hurts. Our stomach grumbles and hurts. Our digestion may be off. A rash breaks out. We breath shallowly, maybe panting. Our heart beats faster. Our hands get sweaty. come down with a cold. We are not sleeping well. Emotionally, we may feel angry, fearful, shamed, irritated, annoyed, impatient, bored, unsettled or hurt. Mentally, we may have persistent thoughts that could be negative, almost looping around and around and around.
I sometimes think we may need to call ourselves on the phone, so we will actually listen to ourselves.
“Hey, Pam, I want to tell you this….”
Listening To Ourselves
What am I feeling?
This doesn’t feel right to do or feels right to do – about a relationship, a job, an opportunity, an event.
Don’t know what to do further in this creative work, will wait. Now I know what to do! Took the time to listen.
This person is doing this activity or has this belief. Is this something I want to do or believe in? Shall I go along with this person or not?
Following a dream, a passion, a trip that you have always wanted to take.
Should I? Shouldn’t I? (Shoulds are usually something to avoid.)
My body is not feeling right. What is my body telling me?
Time to rest, even if others are continuing.
Am I reacting?
The group is doing this, it doesn’t feel right to me.
Even if this person is an expert, I will get another expert’s opinion.
I am going to be quiet for awhile, so I can hear my voice, listening to what I am saying.
Am I speaking my voice with other people?
Am I speaking and hearing my own voice?
What does my voice sound like?
Listening To Me
I do artwork. I have done artwork off and on for most of my life. When I talk about the process of doing art work, I say that I listen to the piece that I am working on, almost as if the piece is telling me what to do next, what color to use, what line to draw and more. When I think (I am pointing to my head) of what to do, it doesn’t work. When I let the art work tell me, it works. It is a feeling or sense to do this ________. Is this the art telling, or me telling me? Whatever it is, it is listening to that.
A Video With Oprah Winfrey And Iyanla Vanzant
Below is a video of a conversation between Oprah Winfrey and Iyanla Vanzant from the program SuperSoul Sunday. They talked about pausing, staying present, and using your own spiritual GPS, instead of doing what we always do. The video is about 1:36 minutes long. Enjoy.
When I work with a patient, I am witnessing what is bothering them. I often say, that the patient and I are witnessing them together. Witnessing is listening. I am listening to the patient. And the patient is listening to themselves.
I invite you to contact me if you or a loved one have a health issue that has not resolved. I work with people of all ages. I offer a complimentary 15+ Get Acquainted Call. You can contact me here on this blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com. I work with people both in person and virtually in and out of the San Diego, California, area. I look forward to hearing from you.
I write often that there is a need for homeopathy. I am seeing this need more and more from people, not only with the people who call me asking if homeopathy can help them, but also from just reading about how health care is in the world.
People call me about many different health issues. Very often, they have experienced this health issue for a period of time, received different treatments and possibly medications for it, yet they are not better. They may feel frustrated, stuck and unheard. Their health issue may not fit a box of a diagnosis or a name. The person is not feeling well, has symptoms that bother them greatly, which can affect their daily life.
Acute and Chronic Health Issues
Sometimes homeopathy works very quickly. Actually, you want to see a fairly fast respond when using homeopathy for first aid issues (falls, sprains, insect bites, traumas, dental work) and acute health issues (flu, colds, stomachaches). You want to see symptoms move and change towards healing. Several doses of a remedy may be used. As the person heals and the symptoms change, another homeopathic remedy will be needed.
With a chronic, long term health issue, more time is needed for the healing. Often, a series of homeopathic remedies are used, taking one remedy at a time, and then when needed another one is used. Homeopathic remedies are usually not taken daily. One or two doses are taken within 24 hours, and then we wait and observe how the person is responding. The remedy is stimulating the person’s own healing ability. Sometimes we see something in the first few days, sometimes in a week, and sometimes longer. The changes may be subtle at first.
Follow Up Appointments
Follow up appointments help us to see how the person has responded to the remedy. From these appointments we know how to proceed, whether to continue with that remedy or to change to another. We don’t want to just keep giving the homeopathic remedy especially if nothing much has happened.
Sometimes the first homeopathic remedy does not do very much. By meeting again, we start to get a deeper understanding of the person, and use a homeopathic remedy that fits and helps more. The first remedy was not in vain; it helped us move to the next one. Healing is a process. We are healing at the root cause of the health issue, not just palliating.
One of my patients has done very well after the third homeopathic remedy we given. It is still used when needed. The first two remedies for this patient brought us to this third one.
Patients that use homeopathy as part of their health care get in contact with me when something comes up regarding their health, whether it is first aid, an acute issue, or a chronic issue that they are experiencing. For these patients, we may use the homeopathic remedy that has helped before or another one is needed. We address what is happening to them at this time.
Homeopathy To Heal
Since we want a healing, and healing is a process, we want to give the process time to work. Three months, six months, more time. It does depend on how long someone has experienced what is bothering them in terms of the healing time. Appointments are not weekly. The follow up appointments are 4 – 6 weeks apart, based on what is needed and the individual.
If I can be of help to you or loved one who has a health issue, I would be happy to talk with you. I offer a complimentary 15+ minute Get Acquainted Call to see if this is something you would like to pursue. I see patients both local and outside the San Diego area, virtually and in person. You can contact me here or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com.
Patients often tell me that they are sensitive, sensitive to medications, supplements and vitamins. I take this in consideration when deciding on the potency of the homeopathic remedy, and how often the person will take it.
This is only one kind of sensitivity.
I think we are all sensitive.
We are sensitive to things outside of our bodies. And a particular part of our body or functioning of our body can be more sensitive. That is the part of the body where we experience symptoms when we are under stress. Someone may have headaches or migraines. Someone may have digestive issues; skin eruptions, such as hives; menstrual difficulties; breathing difficulties; sleep issues; feel very anxious or nervous, to name a few.
Sensitivities can also be to many different things in our environment, in our relationships, in our work life and more. We may think that having a sensitivity is only negative. Sensitivities can also be positive. A person feels better from being out in the sun, or outside in the fresh air. They are sensitive to the sun, in a positive way.
Sensitivities
Physical and environmental:
temperature and weather changes
moon phases
time of day
seasons
heat or cold
clothing
being covered or uncovered
particular foods and drink
medications, supplements
touch, pressure or lack of touch or pressure, textures
other environmental occurrences
sounds, light, smells, tastes, touch
air, drafts, wind
sun
pain
Emotional. With the list below, many people may not like what is happening or want to be around it, such as experiencing an angry person. We may have a response or reaction to the situation. Someone who has more of a sensitivity to it, such as with being around an angry person, will be affected more by it. In a way, the person is stuck in the angry.
angry situations, quarrels, arguments
teasing, joking, bullying
criticism, lack of appreciation, humiliating
sadness, grief
betrayal
rudeness
feeling left out, forsaken
pressure of deadlines
talking to other people – to individuals or to groups
preforming
responsibilities, sense of duty
jealousy
When we are feeling stressed, we are more triggered by our sensitivities and to what is happening around us. We may then start to experience physical, emotional, or mental symptoms. In a way, it is our body’s way of handling this stress. With homeopathic care, the response of the symptoms we experience may become less pronounced. We may still experience the stress, still be bothered by it, yet we are able to handle the situations better, without being as affected as much. Other tools, techniques and therapies can also be helpful.
Sensitivity To Loud Noises
Over this past year, I have seen several people who are very sensitive to noise and sounds. To the point that they wear ear plugs or muffs, and are not taking part in life’s every day activities. Each of the cases were different, and needed a different homeopathic remedy, that fit them, even though what brought them into homeopathy, the sensitivity to noise and sounds was the same.
One woman has done very well. We used two homeopathic remedies and then the third one helped greatly. She is still doing very well, having a dose of the homeopathic remedy when needed. Her experience with homeopathy shows that very often a series of homeopathic remedies are needed, helping the case move forward. It is a process of healing.

Brene Brown – “In order to empathize with someone’s experience you must be willing to believe them as they see it and not how you imagine their experience to be. “
*******
This quote resonated with me. My intention when I meet with a patient is to see, hear, observe, witness, understand (not intellectually), and listen to how “they see it, (their experience)”. “To believe them” is to see them. Maybe this is empathy. I don’t know. Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, wrote in THE ORGANON, that when being with the patient the practitioner is “the unprejudiced observer”.
As a homeopathic practitioner, I am seeing the patient’s world, their reality. I want to know how it is for them. This guides me to the selection of the homeopathic remedy that is needed.
I often say: tell me more; what was that, (if they made a gesture); what does that feel like in your body; how does that feel or felt; why; what is the experience or sensation of that. I am wanting to know more.
My job is to witness where the person is living. To see them.
Expressing
People express themselves using words, gestures, movements of their body, sounds they make, dislikes and likes, interests, dreams, fear and more.
I work with people who are verbal and non verbal, such as babies, children or adults. (Animals too.) These patients are telling me about themselves, not through words necessarily, but through their actions and their behaviors. It observe. It is part of their totality.
Such as:
How a child moves around my consultation room. Going under my desk. Being behind a chair. Moving all over the room. Going into the closet and closing the door. Standing behind their mother when first entering the room.
Movement of head or part of the body.
Needing support to hold up their head.
Covering their eyes, ears or both, with hands or with clothes or muffs.
Making a sound.

Several years ago, I was attending a meeting in which I was introducing myself and saying a little bit about homeopathy. I was specifically talking about a patient of mine, a young boy. I prefaced what I was saying about him, with the statement that “it is not that children are difficult, but that children are having difficulties.” I might say that this is so with any age.
I think we say that the child is difficult because for the people around them, it may be hard to be with them. It is difficult. The child may be too noisy, too unsocial, too quiet, too loud, not fitting in, too shy, doing behaviors that are not really sociably accepting. The child may be experiencing something within themselves, in their body, that is extremely unpleasant, painful, and uncomfortable. The behaviors may be a way for the child to sooth themselves, and the discomfort they are feeling and experiencing. The child is having difficulties, and we label them difficult.
Having difficulties applies to adults too.
What May Be Bothering The Person And How It Shows Up
What may be bothering the person, a child or an adult:
An inner struggle
Difficulty in vision, hearing, processing information, paying attention, focusing
Environmental factors – exposure to toxins, not enough food, reaction to foods, reaction to medications or vaccines, poor environment, abuse
A feeling, sensation or pain within them that is SO uncomfortable – physical, emotional, mental or spiritual
Relationships – abuse (I know I mentioned this twice), family discord, parental problems, family dynamics, siblings, friends
Digestive issue – constipation, diarrhea, nausea, not want to eat, wanting to eat too much
The symptoms that the person is experiencing are signs that something is not right. We listen and witness them and use them to come to the homeopathic remedy that is needed at this time.
A Boy With A Recurring Cough
Years ago, I saw a young boy for a recurring cough. The cough actually bothered the mother more than it bothered the boy. When I was talking and listening to the boy, I understood that what bothered him the most was that his younger sister was the boss of him. He was older, taller, yet he felt that she was the boss of him. Unfortunately, his mother did not bring the boy back for a follow up appointment, but I found out through a friend of the family that the cough had subsided. My guess was that the boy was also feeling better about himself, and didn’t feel that his sister was the boss.
To his mom, the cough was difficult, difficult for her to hear. And she was concerned about her son’s health. For the boy, the relationship with his sister was difficult. Was the cough related to how he felt about himself when he was with his sister? Maybe. Both the cough and how he felt about himself were pieces of the totality, and led to the selection of homeopathic remedy that was used.
Homeopathy To Heal
I receive calls from people who are having difficulties. Often, it has been something they have been experiencing for awhile. Their health issue has not resolved. They have used different healing treatments and are not better. At this point, they come to homeopathy. I always say it is a process of healing. We start where they are, and go forward, often needing different homeopathic remedies as the healing process progresses.
