Chamomilla – The Homeopathic Remedy

Many people drink Chamomile tea, especially at night, to help them relax so they may have a better night’s sleep. The homeopathic remedy Chamomilla is often used for children who are teething. I want to talk more about the homeopathic remedy Chamomilla.

Three People Who Benefited From Using The Homeopathic Remedy Chamomilla

Recently I gave Chamomilla to a woman who was having pain in her right ear. She had had some pain in her temple, forehead, and the lower right side of her head a week before. The pain settled in the right ear. It was pulsating and throbbing. It was not a constant pain, but when she did experience it, she found it difficult to do other activities because the pain genuine-chamomile-58642__480was so present. Over a two day period, she took several doses of the homeopathic remedy Chamomilla, the pain diminished and then finally went away.

Years ago, I gave Chamomilla to a young woman who felt very angry. If someone said something to her that seemed like an insult or she thought was rude, she felt very hurt and angry. It was if it was a blow to her, not a physical one, but an emotional blow. She did very well with the homeopathic remedy Chamomilla.

I mentioned above about a teething baby being helped with Chamomilla. The baby may be biting because the pain and the discomfort felt in their gums is unbearable. The biting actually may ease the pain, and may be the way he is expressing anger from being in such intense pain.

Chamomilla

Chamomilla is a plant from the Compositae Family. The homeopathic remedies Arnica Montana and Calendula are also in this plant family, and have the same sensitivity. This sensitivity is to being injured, experiencing a trauma, feeling bruised and sore, feeling abused, and feeling beaten. The sensitivity can be experienced both physically and emotionally. The second case I give shows how someone would feel injured on an emotional level.

Here are links to posts I have written on Arnica Montana and Calendula. These posts talk about the use of these two remedies for first aid situations.

Characteristics Of The Homeopathic Remedy Chamomilla

Here are a few characteristics of Chamomilla that would guide a homeopath to choosing this remedy for someone:

  • unbearable pain
  • pains are throbbing, sharp like a sudden attack
  • capricious -wants something now, and then when it is given doesn’t want it anymore
  • extremely angry, irritable – difficult to be around,  may not want to be touched
  • wants to be carried
  • worse at night, from cold air
  • better from cold applications
  • may have a fever
  • one check is red and hot, and the other one is pale and cool
  • stool is like a chopped spinach consistency

I write about Chamomilla because it is used very often by people, as a tea and as a homeopathic remedy. By giving you some information about the homeopathic remedy, you can start to see that each homeopathic remedy has their own unique picture, just as each of us do.

If I can be of any help to you or your loved ones, I invite you to contact me here on this blog or through my website www.homeopathytoheal.com. And enjoy your cup of tea!
