I often suggest to many of my patients and to my friends, to use calendula cream if they are experiencing a skin eruption, a rash, a cut that isn’t healing well, an open sore, a fungus on their foot, anything on the skin that is not healing well. This cream is helpful for the healing of an episiotomy or tear after childbirth. It is a wonderful healing cream. It is made from the marigold plant. It’s full name is Calendula officinalis. It has also been potentized and made into a homeopathic remedy. In this post, I am just talking about the cream.
I specifically suggest the calendula cream, Baby Face Cream made by Weleda. Weleda is a German company and makes many products. Don’t be put off by the name and think you have to be a baby to use it, or have to just use it on your face. This product is pure, of good quality, and can be used anywhere on the body. It can be purchased at your local health food stores. It comes in an orangish/yellow 1.7 ounce tube.
When I suggest to use calendula cream to my patients, it is in conjunction with the homeopathic remedy being used, the one being given that is similar to what they are experiencing. The cream will help if the skin area is itchy, burning, or sore, and takes the place of other creams or ointments that can be very harsh. Being topical, the cream doesn’t necessarily heal deeply. The homeopathic remedy, which is taken orally, promotes a deep healing by stimulating the person’s own healing ability.
