More 5 – Don’t Forget To Take Care Of Yourself

The last several posts, I had written about how homeopathy can be helpful during the Coronavirus, and it can be.

Even though the virus is upmost in our minds and in our lives, there may be other concerns that have come up that we need to take care of. They could be on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. The concerns could be affecting our bodies (an old or new health issue); our environment and home (repairs, needing to move); our moods (how we are feeling and responding/reacting to what is going on); our finances (employment, how to do business, money); our relationships (feeling alone and isolated, having family members around us all the time); the world (how much control do I have, how is the government handling things or not handling things); and our life (what can I do, how can I be, are there things I can change?).

It is a lot.

Health And Life Issues

These are some of the health and life issues I have been hearing about from patients and people calling me for homeopathic care. You can see that they are a range of concerns.

  • Difficulty with teeth coming in.
  • Defiant behavior.
  • Earache, that is seasonal, but experiencing it early. With a hearing loss.
  • Allergies.
  • Digestive issues – pain, diarrhea. Colitis.
  • Stressed, anxious, overwhelmed. Taking care of house, children and school work. Doing a lot of roles.
  • Cancer.
  • Fevers.
  • Coughs.
  • Elderly parent in a facility. Not able to see them.
  • Reaction to other treatment or medications.
  • Feelings of isolation, depression, and loneliness.
  • Death of a family member or a close friend.
  • Changed plans.
  • Different working environments and schedules.
  • Concerns about health and treatments.
  • Concerns about their business. Money.
  • Coronavirus.

Creativity

I mentioned creativity in an early post I wrote.

Through this pandemic, people have found ways to do business, to continue their business. Found ways to connect with people. Found ways of using their talents, skills and abilities. Have started new ventures. Have started to learn a new skill or honed one they already have. This creativity reflects our resiliency as people.

When I first wrote this blog, it was before the protests and looting that occurred over the past week. This has added more to our levels of stress, anxiety, sadness, anger, and . I know for me, I feel more unsettled and I feel the heaviness even more so. What helps me is writing this blog, and telling people about homeopathy. Also painting. Right now, I am painting on scraps of wood and leaving them outside in my front yard. Giving some light and color to the world, and to me.

Taking Care Of You

Put you back on the list. Take care of yourself. Whether to get a massage, medical treatment, a haircut, a nice meal, homeopathy, a walk, seeing a friend, seeing a counselor, doing a dance. A little thing/action can have a big effect.

The analogy that we know so well, of being on an airplane and the air mask drops down, applies to us now. Put the mask on you first, before you put it on the person siting next to you, which could be your child. Take care of you.

The latter program focused on the Sensation Method.
